Yesterday I went to Ms. Junko's (She is my fine arts teacher from studio Miu.)exhibition @ 72 Loewen rd. She did abstract paintings of her personal studio located at the same location. It was very interesting when she explained to us, how she did the paintings and the reason behind it. Her paintings were like documentations of her day there. The colour she used represented her emotions and stuffs. It was really enlightening! She also used an interesting technique to paint the paintings! She actually stood in a place where she can see the shadow of the trees and flowers on the canvas, and traced them using paints.

She also exhibited her sketches, they were so darn beautiful! I really wanted to snatch them and escape with them xD Thank you teach! For inviting us to go to your exhibition! It was great!

Ah because of that (*uhum* plus my lazyness...) I only did one gesture, from watching Shiroi Haru again! Well, I guess its kind of a habit... I always need to keep my hands moving whenever I reading manga or watching...

Also, I posted up together with yesterday's update... Gestures from Shiroi Haru ep 4 and 5, result of today's itchy hands! [Sorry to bore you to death! I will post up something different tomorrow!]

Now, to something different. I drew it earlier, when I woke up from my slumber. I guess its the result of last night durian feast and l4d fiesta. I dreamt of watching someone botak (louis-lookalike), almost murdered when suddenly the murderer said, "Something is stink here..." and I just knew he meant durian. Then, I woke up xD It was amusing really...

Argh, strangle me, I had been watching Shiroi Haru for too long! Anyway here is today updates xD

All of it ,except for the randoom doodles on the second picture from below, are quick sketches from Shiroi Haru drama. It is a very nice drama and Abe Hiroshi acts really well! They have very nice lighting and it was fun to freeze frame the video and draw it!

Well, trying to get used of brush again and also to improve my skill with it. Thus, the third and fourth picture from below, were drawn with brush.

Shucks... I forgot to post yesterday's drawings.

Ah well, I will post them up together with tomorrow's part (Its in my laptop!). Anyway this is some studies on the angel sketch. I was grasping for ideas then...

And then, this is today's update...
Some quick gesture studies from Tyson vs Golota video from youtube. It was quite an awesome start but ended quite tragically in my opinion... with Golota refusing to fight... (But I am sure is glad that he is back in the ring now. You go dude!)

I really enjoyed drawing the referee, he looks like a dwarf when he stood in the middle of the two boxers. Quite a pitiful creature sometime, especially when he is trying to separate the boxers from clinching each other. But hey! I like your facial expression ^^b very nice to draw!

Anyway, its been such a long time since I did gestures, so it took me quite some time to do it. I had to do two with pencil before I regained a little confidence to switch to pen. Here they are...

'lo there, I created this blog simply to force my lazy self to do a sketch/day. Also, I will be doing a weekly thematical sketch pratice for myself, but it would be great if anyone of you wanna join :D. It could be anything, as long as it follows the theme, you could paint them, sketch them or model them or woodcut them, do it however you like! Just get moving and enjoy!

Well, the theme will differ most of the time, sometimes it would be words, or music, or some randomness that I thought off. (A method that will get me inspired and force myself not to get rusty! *evil laughter*)

For this week, what I thought off is "Create your own army unit"!

You need to create three different unit.

Well they could be anything, not necessarily human and do not have to be a warring unit. Just imagine what creature you would want as your slave/servant/follower!

After you are done, just host the image up and reply to this post with the link . The practice will end @ Sunday 28. Do post up your updates ^^ Afterall the best way to improve is to share and comment!

Anyhow, this is my random sketch for the day, its not finished yet. Will be moving it to a bigger paper tomorrow, and I'm planning to watercolor it!
