Would not have time to finish it this year but here is a sketch for FF7 + chocobo adventure + moogles that I did to commemorate FF30th anniversary. I was super inspired to do this piece after going for the Distant World Orchestra with my friends couple of months ago but could never find the time to start on it.
Now that I finally get down to sketch it I am pretty excited to be able to finish it up, I will try to ink it after getting home from the EOY count down party! Cheers to all of you, may you have a beautiful year ahead!

Cityscape
The roof was inspired from turtle shell and local house roof that I saw during dinner outing.
This took longer than I wanted since I was using this chance to pick up modelling in Modo. I am still trying to figure out how to render the different passes, if you have any tips of tutorials to share I would really appreciate it!
I am also still trying to figure out the best way to implement this pipeline but for now it was,
Architecture design (pencil and paper)-> Rough Comps (photoshop)-> 3D modelling (modo) ->Paint over (photoshop) Would love to know how others implement their 3d model into their paintings, let me know whats your pipelines in the comments!

Xmas Postcards
This year I received so much help from various people so I wanted to thank them for accepting me, flawed and all. I finally saw it on first hand basis the power of kindness and acceptance that change someone close to me who in turn changed me to hopefully a better person.
So, I did some xmas postcards to give to precious people in my life.
Hopefully it would make them smile. You can now download them here:

Hoping that anyone could use them and give them to someone precious to them and hopefully make this end of year a better one, even if its just a little better.

Value Studies 6
Finally completed these sets of value practice. Been doing this on and off.
You might remember the first one from a while ago :)
I feel kinda rusty since I had not been touching it for a while but that was a good practice!

George Innes's "The Lackawanna Valley"
1 hour lunch study of George Innes's "The Lackawanna Valley"
This is one of my favorite landscape painting from George Innes.
Really enjoyed painting it but I struggled a bit since the values are so subtle that it was kinda hard to read and mimic the value shift.
In this scene, I really love how he leads the audience eyes around the MG and FG area. The use of basic shapes and long lines and the value groupings to help focus the eyes are superb!
I would love to see it in real life!

Super exhausting day so I wanted to cool down before bedtime.
Here is a 1.5 hour study of Ludwig Deustch.
I love the way he paint fabric!

Inktober 2017 - Golem Crafts
Series of ink drawings that I did for inktober 2017.
This time around I was inspired by my childhood of making gunpla, playing robo-pit in ps1 and dozens of shounen manga. Had tonnes of fun exploring the world and storytelling. The character kinda evolved and changed in scale and design as I did the different pages as I didnt really designed them in the beginning.. oops :p Hope you have fun in following their adventure!
