I had a really cool experience in a 3 day masterclass with Arthur Fong and Tom zhao last year. I really want to learn from them but it was unfortunate that we only had that short amount of time. In the masterclass, we are supposed to do a mini project on a character that is out to take a revenge on a monster that kill his master/father etc.
I decided to take on japanese influence on this project and from there on, Ichi the samurai boy was born. I imagined him as a naive serious boy who wear his deceased master's helmet (thus the size) who swung his wooden sword around, "training"to one day take revenge on the monstrous Yamata No Orochi.
