BRIXTANNIA CANNON!

Meet sir Brixtannia Cannon.

The Spanish conquistadors whose mustache is peerless in the whole wide world. Though that seems to be the only good thing about him.. He ain't exactly a just man nor is he smart. In fact he loves attentions, especially from the señora~, as much as he loves the bribes he receives every single day!

He commands a troop of loyal followers (who are all always in awe of his mustache for their species are hairless) who does all his dirty works. From cleaning the toilet to serving him his daily dose of cocktails, they are always at sir Brixtannia service! (24/7 except when the soap dramas are on the tv of course!)


Born to a long lineage of nobility, he is very lazy .. *cough* I mean he is a gentleman. And gentleman does not dirty their own hands, instead he will commmand his loyal troops to sacrifice themselves for the greater good of the world!

Thus his troops are always carrying the cannon around, in case there are any citizen that displease their lord which seems to happen pretty often.

A piece i did in BIW 2014 i thought i would have time to try to do the fixups as advised by the instructors..
in the end never found the time to do so. Urged by my friend who asked me to just upload it and move on.. I decided to do so.. :)

I imagined it as a game like TF or Dynasty warrior in casual form. His normal attack could be just a sword hack and slash.

His special attack would be the troop's cannon shot. It could be a fun factor too if the bullet is randomized, it could be a normal bomb or maybe fiery bomb that does AOE or even a freezing type of bomb.

Quite a fun piece to do! Please let me know what do you think about it ^^

 Few months ago I was introduced to an interesting exercise about drawing things that you would want to bring for holiday. I thought of a hero going on holiday/adventure.. what would they bring?

HAH look, I found my old works.. burn it all in hell.. its so bad I want to bury myself in a dung pit for ever producing it. But oh well... F it muahaha lets expose my dirty dark bad drawings... : D

Good god I want to stab my own eyes looking at these again.. what was I thinking! This shows how immature I was at that time.. in person and skills... 

Excuse moi~ Now I need to invent time machine to punch my younger self!

21- Moonlight Night

Just messing around with brush ink pen. 

A friend told me to loosen up my lines so I was trying to do that here. Still long way to go of course. Its pretty hard.. my hands are rather nervous.. I could not get a very thin line.

The piece itself was inspired when I was walking home and looked up the sky, there was some stars (which is quite rare to see in this part of the world.) 

But it made me reminiscence of my time alone at night in mt.Fuji.

A closer shot of the two character from my previous drawing. The creature is heavily inspired by ostrich. I imagined them to be a messenger of the court. Always on the go, living on the road. That''s one theme that I enjoy a lot. Rider and creature.

The love starts off from a film called "Postman" (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0119925/) I know the movie is considered as a flop. But I really liked the atmosphere and the design of the film.

Good day all.
This is my first 2015 art post.
When I was drawing this I was trying to reflect on my 2014 adventure.
It truly has been a fun, bitter sweet roller coaster ride. Full of questions, worries and uncertainties.

In the beginning of 2014, some people told me that when I'm old im going to regret what I lost in exchange of pursuing my dream.
That became a question that I kept asking to myself was about whether my dream is worth pursuing for.
After many months of being in emotional rollercoaster ride (..and many motivational youtube videos later)
A friend shared about his experience abroad and how he had matured from it.

Thus I decided to go on a solo "soul-searching" trip :x

That truly was an unforgettable experience. I realized all the worries I had before the trip was useless and I will never know what the future held.
Sometime planning helps, at times when shit happens, you just got to make lemonade out of it :p

On the way home, I remembered a quote from a movie I watched long time ago.
"You got a dream... You gotta protect it. People can't do somethin' themselves, they wanna tell you you can't do it. If you want somethin', go get it. Period."- Christopher Gardner, pursuit of happyness.

At the end of the day, there is nobody who could stop you from what you want.. except for yourself.
I have to admit at time chasing after this dream is so painful, but I guess its like love isn't it?
Only when it means so much to you, you would feel that its worth getting hurt over.

The best part of 2014 was that I gained many companions who are all chasing after the same dream when I went to Bali Illustration workshop.
The sight of so many people from different walks of life and countries, coming together to do art.. is just amazing.
Talking to them, seeing them posting their work, makes me feel I should work even harder!

Talking to the mentor I realized that they also fret but they manage to overcome it and faced it frontally.
They are human too, not too different from me, but they asked the correct questions of "how" instead of "why"
(How to reach there? instead of Why am I here?")

Facing it frontally is the hardest hurdle but I believe one day, it would pay off. So I am trying to learn (while incepting myself to do so too) :D

This year,  the question Im going to ask to myself would be
"Are you having fun chasing after your dream?"

Hopefully I can positively shout Yes at the end of the year :)
