Practice: Buildings

Weekly practice, @ esplanade. Before and after... I think I improved slightly ^^a.
Well, as usual after each session, me and Near will exchange our sketchbook and comments. He says I do not have problem on establishing my depth (FG,MG,BG) but I still can improve on those for sure. And as usual, I have to be neater in my work!I have heard this comment ever since I am merely a brat and I agree...always! But curse my lazy bones! :p

Another two notable weakness are my perspective and shading.





Please do take your time and comment on my work! Even if you think it would be harsh I think I am sturdy enough to take it... so go ahead! Happy slamming my work! After all, medicine is always bitter. :p

After a long while without reading a book, I became grumpy... from the lack of a single dose of fantasy stories. In that desperation, I happen to pass through a book rental shop. Haggard looking from pain (wisdom tooth) and lack of sleep, I questioned (tortured?) the uncle for a list of new books I had surfed on the net earlier. Unfortunately he does not have all of those yet... those will be in a couple more months =_=a

In the end, I asked him for a recommendation. And he gave me a fantasy classic! Raymond E Feist's Magician. This is the first time I really read his book (Not accounting the Empire Trilogy, which he wrote with Janny Wurts.) Since, I am occupied recently, I could only read bit by bit.. so far (At chapter 2) its quite a promising start to an epic adventure! I am just getting to the nice part!

Some watercolor gestures done @teadot. I forgot to bring my tools today... luckily Near is always equipped with various drawing materials. :P Thanks man!

Anyway, to share..

A random passerby sitting a distance away from me. He has many interesting gestures...seems like he is waiting for someone! Oh those orange circles, were from me warming up my rusty joints.. same goes with the random facial sketch. xD



The brush ran out of water when I was painting the lady and being the usual random earthling, too lazy to do something about it, I switched to pencil and drew another lady.



I have some more pages but they are horrifyingly ugly so I shall not taint your beautiful eyes with their existence :x

Productive Day

Ho ho ho... long hiatus...

Dont worry, I have been drawing.. its just that there are too many to scan (Blame it on my laziness.) Anyway, here a compiled water color gestures.



Drawing with friends really beats drawing alone, it distracts your mind from thinking too much... hopefully my drawings are looser now..

Also doing a concept challenge w D A.K.A Near... This month theme is apple.

Here is a random thought process I did for it... There are also a few sketches/notes I did on paper... pray that comes a day I can move my lazy A$$ and scan them.

Some random after work/lunch practice. Practicing my speed, limited to 10-30 mins! Also experimenting on diff stuff, blending option etc.

Wohooo! Finally an update! Work has been crazy recently :D its fun though, to the point of me breaking down and laughing non stop!

This one is done when I was bored @ work. I apologize to the model, I will improve my skill and draw a much better picture of you next time. The photo was from 5sec face, a project that took place not long ago. Read more regarding the awesome project @ facebook! One of my friend, Annabella was featured in one of the photos :D



The next two was done for a weekly challenge done w friends :D Its based on ENRIQUE IGLESIAS's music entitled "FREE" that was assigned by my friend to me. This is my first time drawing a werewolf and my conclusion after was, "Holy mama, so much deterioration in my proportions!"

Following was just a random stuff...Drawn the moment we reached the hotel, and I was waiting for my Dad and aunt to check in into the hotel...
