Loosey Hand~
Another sketching day... a good one ;)
The first one is of a skinny man... his hands are so amazingly skinny.. I swear if I hold it tightly, it would break...
Here, the blue lines are by me... Near drew on top with a gray pencil to teach me (more like a reminder) of the in and out lines. Hehehe, thanks dood, a good reminder of that! Finally realized why my drawing is so flat ;)
Today, my drawing is so much looser than previous session. Still need to improve on my anatomy and basic skills though. Especially on the small details and proportions... The small goofy/kiddy drawing, was done by me... (in the name of fun, everything is legal) Here is your portrait, Near!
Haha but today is a good day... both of me and Near, agreed on that... A fruitful gesture session. We also worked on the ARMOR concept challenge. I have decided to minimize my focus...
To share a bit on the challenge...
Here is the my own design brief and background on the concept. Its still a draft but bear with it...
=============================
BACKGROUND
Class of armor
Nobility Armor
Sleek, clean cut, fashionable, tight fit suits. Worn only by people of power. Crafted using nanotechnology, molecular science, and remnant of lost technology. Empowered mostly by solar power.
Worker Armor
Armor crafted depending on one's occupation and customized to suit the worker's need and comfort. Usually is bulkier, depending on the grade of the parts used. The smaller the part, the more expensive it would be and the higher grade the part would be.
Laborer, +strength
Craftsman, +dexterity
Messenger, +agility
Battle Armor
Armor crafted specially to battle, be it in the arena or to hunt monsters. Like Worker Armor, its size vary, according to the parts used. The smaller the part, the more expensive it would be and the higher grade the part would be.
Custom Armor
Armor crafted of various junks, usually owned by junk collectors or poorer citizens of the world. Each armor of this class has unique capabilities and its status are usually unknown. Its size vary, according to the parts used.
At times there could be unique armor, e.g Symbiotic Cardboard forged to resist water.
Bastard Armor
Armor made with illegal parts. Could only be found in black market. Each armor of this class has unique capabilities and its status are usually unknown. Its size vary, according to the parts used.

I will be modifying it soon, according to Near's suggestion.

e.g Strong line and rhythm, Bold character

What the character will do in a specific world, and how it speaks and acts. Characters that interact with their surroundings.
e.g Muted, Wry, Explosive, Wildly exaggerated
iv. Backstories, Goals and dreams
Where it comes from, how it came to exist and any life-changing events it has experienced are going to help back up the solidity of, and subsequent belief in, your character. Sometimes the telling of a character’s back story can be more interesting than the character’s present adventures
-Establish, 5W1H.
-Establish Driving force for character
v. Beyond the character
Character environment, suggests a story and idea. Establish a world in which the character lives and interact to who he/she/it is and what it gets up to.
Think about the meaning of the word ‘character’. You’re supposed to breath life into these things, make them appealing and give them the magic that will allow people to imagine what they’re like to meet and how they might move. I think it’s strange how creating characters for the sake of it has become a distinct branch of graphic design.- Neil McFarland
